Tour Missouri Wine Country
Take in the best of Missouri's world famous premium wine making region. Mount Pleasant Winery is located in the first government appointed wine growing district in the United States 45 miles west of downtown St. Louis.

In 1980, before Napa and Sonoma, the Augusta Appellation was created. The winery that spearheaded this accomplishment is Mount Pleasant Winery that was founded in 1859. The original hand-dug cellars were completed in 1881 and were built from the wood and abundant limestone in the area. Also on property is the "oven house" where bricks were made, the still used to make brandy for port and the foundations of the original buildings built in 1859.

At MPW groups of 25 or more will enjoy visiting our beautifully landscaped grounds where they may participate in the following:

  • Walking tours of the property and Cellars
  • Wine tasting
  • Wine Education (port, aroma, wine 101, how to buy in a restaurant)
  • Indoor/outdoor meeting space
  • Wine Dinners

Note:  MPW Wine Educators are available to visit a venue of your choice based upon the availability of the person who conducts the event.

Tour Operators | Motor coach Travelers
Put us in your schedule! MPW is the first government appointed wine growing district in the United States. Wouldn’t it be fun to tell your clients they are visiting this FIRST in the US? Most will assume they’re headed to Napa or Sonoma…MYSTERY TRIP!

Find yourself traveling the “Mother Road - Route 66” (Highway 40)  with several of these miles originally blazed by Daniel Boone. The four story home he built and stands as his final resting place, and the famous “Judgment Tree” are on the way and just a short distance from the winery. Lewis and Clark also traveled this same route on their trek west, making the scenic journey to MPW a historic ride your group will always remember!

Want a customized experience? We can design something a bit out-of-the-box and help with a schedule of activities throughout St. Louis and the surrounding area. Oh, the possibilities!

Ask about inclusive packages designed with the tour operator in mind. You have the ability to design a package that fits your group.
